These days I am talking to quite a lot of people about their opinion of my idea, the way I could raise money for the project and also the distribution of the book. There are so many things to take care of and it’s good that we decided to use 2013 as year for planning everything.
Printing and distributing a book is quite a big task. Financially and strategically. A book needs to be printed, packed, shipped around the world, invoices have to be sent etc. A task which is quite too much for two persons. View days ago a colleague published a book himself and posted a link to a nice web-service called blurb (Website: http://www.blurb.de/). This web service prints books “on demand” in high quality, nearly every size and format and takes care about all that stuff I don’t want to take care of (invoicing, shipping etc.).
The big advantage for “The LEO Book”-project is, we don’t have to think about the amount of books we might sell, we don’t have to pay in advance for several hundreds or thousands of books, we don’t need to care about all that shipping and accounting-thing.
So for me this is a very good way to distribute “The LEO Book” in future. What do you think? Would you buy a book via an online service?

On 400 pages I show community service of young people, whom I was able to accompany during self-organiced travels to 25 countries between 2014 and 2017.
I am designer, creative and photographer from Wels, Austria. I’ll visit 50 LEO clubs until 2017 and will publish a book about similarities and differences of volunteering around the world.
